Diss-ertations on Adult/Teen Girl Love

This web site will initially consist of four separate sections, all of them dealing with what I believe to be the most extraordinary, beautiful and desirable group of people on the face of the Earth: adolescent girls. The age group I am specifically speaking of here are those within my primary attraction base, which are girls from early adolescence, roughly from the ages of 11-15 years old, when they begin the transformation from children into young women. The bulk of this site, however, shall consist of essays dealing with the eventual establishment of the right of adult men and women, and adolescent girls, to form mutually consensual romantic and/or sexual relationships with each other, and to end the legal, economic and social disempowerment that youths (including teen girls) are currently subjected to, which effectively leaves them as little more then the property of their biological parents (or court-appointed 'legal guardians') until they reach the current age of "legal" adulthood at 18. But first, perhaps a bit of an introduction to myself is in order.

I am an adult male who posts regularly under the nick 'Dissident' on the MAA (Minor Attracted Adult) message forums GirlChat (GC) and Common Ground (CG), and occasionally on Open Hands (OH). I am what various psychological and academic circles call (or have called) a hebephile or ephebophile, which is defined as an adult (male or female) who has a strong sexual, emotional and spiritual attraction and/or preference for adolescents, but are NOT attracted to pre-pubescent children, which makes us distinct from our close political cousins, pedophiles (i.e., adults or teens who have a sexual, emotional and spiritual attraction and/or preference for pre-pubescent children; it should be noted here that in the U.S. and the U.K., the media very often confuses these two different attraction bases, and simply incorrectly uses the term 'pedophile' to refer to ALL adults who find people under the age of 18 attractive, largely due to a matter of legal semantics, as any adolescent under the age of 18 are legally considered "children"). Some pedophiles are indeed attracted to adolescents as well as children, but the attraction to pre-pubescents (prees) is what makes someone distinctly a pedophile. The presence of a strong attraction to adolescents, but the lack of same in one's attraction base (AB) for pre-pubescent children, is what distinguishes a hebephile from a pedophile. Hebephiles/ephebophiles occasionally have their AB slide below the age where a girl hits early estrus (where she first begins developing her secondary sexual characteristics, and emotional changes, that effectively bring her out of childhood, and into early young womanhood), but this is quite rare. Currently, leading scientific studies have shown that though estrus occurs at different rates for different girls, they generally begin the physical and emotional transformation from childhood to adolescence at age 10.5 years, and are usually well on their way into adolescence by age 12. Girls who are in the earlier stages of estrus are often referred to as "tweens," a marketing term taken from the words "teen" and the word "between," to make it clear that these girls are between childhood and adolescence, though in actuality this is distinctly early adolescence. This type of sexual attraction is often referred to as epheborotica.

Many heterosexual hebephiles/ephebophiles are attracted to adult women their own age in addition to their attraction to adolescent girls, though others have a near-exclusive attraction base for girls in early adolescence, with the attraction continuing to a somewhat lesser extent for girls in late adolescence to their early 20's, greatly slackening off for women in their late 20's, and become exponentially sparse for women over 30 (I am one of the latter demarcation). It should be noted here that the dynamics of human sexual and emotional attraction is far from an exact science no matter what a person's primary age of attraction (AOA) is. Contrary to popular cultural belief in the more Judeo-Christian based Western nations, most adult heterosexual men have a degree of sexual attraction to young adolescent girls, and this attraction base was once considered to be very normal, and is in fact quite species adaptive; it's only towards the end of the 19th century, when the human lifespan increased, youths under 18 lost most of their legal rights, and the infant mortality rate greatly decreased in the developed nations, that adult male attraction to adolescent girls started being looked upon as deviant and abhorrent, and actually considered a pathology. Of course, much retroactive alterations in written history had to be crafted in order to support and legitimize the new ideology in the minds of the general public. However, in most Western nations, particularly the U.S. and the U.K., the majority of adult males deeply repress their sexual attraction for TG's, and appear to prefer partners in their own age group, or younger women of legal age (this situation is quite different in various Eastern nations, most notably Japan, whose culture does NOT have a strong Judeo-Christian ideological background, but is instead Shinto, which is not nearly as sex-negative and puritanical as the former). Thus, the only thing that differentiates a hebephile from a "normal" same age attracted (SAA) adult is the degree of attraction to TG's; for those today labeled as hebephiles or ephebophiles, their attraction to TG's is simply more pronounced then that of the "average" adult in today's Western society, so much so that they are unable to repress it, and it becomes an integral part of their social, sexual and emotional identity. Further, there is much evidence which suggests that most hebephiles have emotional and sexual desires that are on the level of a typical teen, and are not congruent with the typical same age attracted adult (SAAA). Also, this appears to be a natural state, and hebephilia is not a result of mental illness any more then homosexuality is, and in fact, there is much evidence that the hebephile population is considerably larger then the gay and bisexual population. Contrary to what the current hysteria against pedosexuality and ephebosexulity would have the general public believe, a hebephile's moral character is completely unrelated to their sexual desires, much the same as that of a homosexual. Hebephiles in general are no more or less likely to be moral or amoral human beings as people belonging to any other group. And though the current hysteria and mass loathing of MAA's labels all hebephiles as being sociopathic, this is very untrue. Though it is, of course, as possible for a hebephile to be sociopathic as a person belonging to any other group, this is no more a typical characteristic of a hebephile then it would be for a homosexual. Thus, any hebephile who may be sociopathic would be so despite their sexual desires, and not because of them. Also contrary to popular belief, there exists a sexual minority known as Adult Attracted Minors (AAM's), or gerantophiles, who are youths (underage or otherwise) with a sexual, emotional and spiritual preference for significantly older people. Hence, in contrast to popular contemporary opinion, if the laws were different, hebephiles would not have to resort to coercion or violence in order to find willing sexual and romantic partners among the TG populace.

As towards additional information about myself, I am strictly pro-choice in my political stance, meaning that I believe that youths and adults should eventually be granted the legal right to have willing and mutually consensual relationships with each other, that youths should have the right to all sexual information to enable them to make informed sexual decisions for themselves, that they are in fact capable of doing so with the proper support groups in place for them, that sex is not a predominantly negative experience that youths "shouldn't be doing," that the attitudes against MAA's and youths are based more on relatively recent cultural biases and prejudices as opposed to actual rational precepts, and that the current laws prohibiting such relationships are more harmful then good to both sides of the generation gap, and society in general, just as all laws based upon prohibition are. I also support the political youth liberation movement, which means I believe in ending the concept of arbitrary age restrictions, just like they were virtually absent in human history prior to their official establishment with the advanced progression of the industrial revolution in the latter half of the 19th century, and I actively support the fight for full legal, economic and social emancipation of youths, including voting rights, job rights, educational rights, freedom of choice in living arrangements, the return to a democratic form of education (currently found only in the wonderful Sudbury schools), choice of religion, choice of political affiliation, and other rights over and above those of simple sexual rights. However, since the general topic of youth liberation is far broader in scope then the rather limited topic of this web site, I will concentrate on primarily the sexual and romantic rights of youths here, though I will frequently find reason to refer to youth liberation in general. Further, it should be mentioned that not all MAA's (both pedo and hebe) are pro-choice in their views regarding adult/youth sexual contact, and regarding the re-establishment of youth rights. A sizable number of the fledging MAA community and subculture are non-choice, and basically agree with the general public about the current legal status of people under 18, and the current laws aimed at MAA's themselves (though most of them do seem to hope for a form of social, though not legal, emancipation for MAA's).

The etymology of the word "hebephile" derives from the Greek terms "philia" (described as a "love" or "deep friendship") and "hebe," taken from the Grecian deity Hebe, the goddess and protectress of adolescents (referred to as "youths" in Greek culture), and the adults who were attracted to them. It must be remembered that in the past, pre-Christian societies, it was considered honorable for adults to be so attracted to youths; it was only during the latter half of the 19th century that what are today known as the age of consent (AOC) laws were created, and youths lost all of the legal and economic rights and social status that they once enjoyed prior to the onset of the industrial revolution and the existence of Victorian society and its puritanical Judeo-Christian ideology, the latter of which created and applied the concepts of "innocence" and asexuality to youths (particularly female youths). Thus, the goddess Hebe's name became synonymous with the word "youth," so that "hebephile" loosely translates into "youth-lover" (or, as would be more proper in today's lexicon, "teen-lover"). Similarly, the Greek term ephebos, which also means "youth" in the Greek language, likewise loosely translates into "youth-lover" in modern English.

Though the terms hebephile and ephebophile are gender neutral, and teen-lovers (Tlers) can be attracted to either male or female adolescents, or both, this web site will primarily deal with man/teen girl love and sexuality, as I myself am a strictly heterosexual hebephile. It should be noted that homosexual hebephiles are often referred to as pederasts, though this term has very recently (thanks to its usage by journalist Heather Peterson on her Philia site) begun to take a more gender-neutral usage. It should further be pointed out that as a youth liberationist (YL) since I was 13 years old, I support the rights of men and boys to love each other as much as boys and girls, but since this site is part of GLGarden, dedicated to Girl Love (GL), and since I am heterosexual, I will focus mainly on man/teen girl love here, though some of my political essays about the rights of adults and adolescents can be just as applicable to male adolescents and boy-lovers (Bler's) as adolescent girls and TGLers. Thus, in no way is this site, and the content contained therein, intended to imply that GL is more legitimate then Boy Love (BL), or that BL is somehow less beautiful and fulfilling in its own right to men and boys then GL is to men and girls. Furthermore, two more political points need be made here. This site and its content is in no way designed to imply that love between teen girls (TG's) and adult women is any less legitimate then mutually consensual love between TG's and adult men, and in fact, there are probably as many female hebephiles as male hebephiles, and it seems that the majority of female hebe's are in fact attracted to girls, and much of what I write in the various essays contained on this site can apply to relationships between women and girls as much as men and girls.

Moreover, though this site is not about child love (CL), as are most other sites to be found on GLGarden, but instead about teen love (TL), I will point out here that despite the differences in pedophilia and hebephilia, I fully recognize pedophiles as a legitimate sexual minority group just as I regard my fellow hebephiles as belonging to such, and though hebephilia is far more common then pedophilia, the latter, in my POV, is every bit as legitimate and deserving of serious study and emancipation as hebephilia/ephebophilia, and some of what I have to say politically in the essays to be found elsewhere on this site can be applicable to CL as well as TL. Pedophilia generally has a much less pronounced sexual component to it then hebephilia does, though both groups find themselves in the same political and social situation, for the most part. And though many believe that Tler's will be emancipated before Cler's are, I am fully determined to oppose the former turning against the latter on the political field in the future in order to achieve our emancipation (as the greater homosexual community did on the Bler's during the 1970's), and I support the joint emancipation of children and pedophiles as much as that of hebephiles and adolescents (though the dynamics of the two will be somewhat different). And also, my extensive personal observations have also made it clear that pedophilia isn't any more the result of mental illness then is homosexuality, and having this sexual predilection also in no way, shape or form has any impact on a person's moral character has a person (either for the better or the worst). When speaking of matters that are politically relevant to both pedophiles and hebephiles, I will refer to us under our collective, general legal term, MAA's (Minor Attracted Adults). Of course, this site will be basically dedicated to the various aspects of adult/teen girl love (A/TGL), and not adult/little girl love (A/LGL), which is in many ways considerably different in terms of the expression of that love and attraction.

As to the four sections this site is currently divided into, each will have a distinctly different tone. The essay section will have edited, re-written versions of my various 'diss-ertations' regarding various aspects relating to A/TGL that originally appeared over the past two years on the GirlChat (GC) forum, provided for those who wish to have them at hand, or for entirely new readers. A sub-segment will be my guest section, which will include edited versions of essays of significant relevance to this topic written by a few of my fellow GChatters. The poetry section shall include a few imaginary scenarios, written in poetic verse, regarding my romantic fantasies concerning TG's, who, as I said before, I believe to be the most beautiful and desirable females on this planet, which have also originally appeared on the GirlChat forum in the past.

My third section will be an ongoing project known as the Teen Girl Chicktionary, which will feature a plethora of the cute and extremely creative words, phrases and abbreviations that TG's have either created, or co-opted for their frequent personal use, that we see in both real life (RL) and online, which illustrates a major aspect of TG's that I find to be particularly wonderful and appealing.

And my fourth section will be my miscellaneous section, devoted to various things that do not fit into any of the three previous sections that I choose to put on this site (which can include various dedications, popular music, etc.).

Further additions to this site will be made periodically, though most essays and poems that appear here will first see the light of day in posts on the GC forum.

I would also like to take the time here to thank the general MAA community for their friendship, support and extreme courage and bravery in the face of an extremely dark time for us in the history of the world, not only for giving me a constant source of inspiration to resist any form of injustice I may find myself confronted by in this lifetime, but for showing me the very definition of valor and perseverance in the face of seemingly overwhelming odds, and of course, for tolerating my sometimes volatile presence among them (as being my friend or sharing a community with me can sometimes be an act of perseverance in and of itself!). I love this community immensely, and no matter what the future may bring, I will always be proud, and never ashamed, for being a part of it, and I have no doubt that the emancipation of both ourselves and the youths we love will one day be achieved, and that all humanity will one day unite to form a far more humane, peaceful and cooperative world order.
